Need to Switch to Alternative Innovative methods reducing dependency on Renewable energy sources

Energy is said to be the form of life, which propels the economy. It has revolutionized the way the entire economy's functioning for a long time. The interesting fact here, is the invention of the steam engine and further coming to the internal combustion engines run by the gasoline(petrol) and diesel paved way for transportation and trade across the globe. The dependence on renewable energy sources has risen to leaps and bounds over many decades.

If one was to see the number of oil rigs being dug out over the decades, the number is said to have increased by 70% and of late the rigging of new oil areas have been seeing a decline. The dependence on oil has seen a massive utilization across various sectors. In many of the sectors, it may be used for electricity generation, supply of the materials from one geographic location to another. This has been the trendsetter for ages, the development of the ICE (internal combustion engines) has seen a massive level of development in terms of technology- the efficiency in terms of running them. Countries all over the world have seen rampant development in terms of the building of engines, where one can save fuel as well as the environment by emitting lesser pollutants.

The last decade has seen an interesting revolution in the automotive world, where there has been an inclusion of technologies that were never been thought of before. The inclusion of battery-powered cars and motorcycles, use of hydrogen and fuel cell also worth the mention of the solar-powered vehicles has opened the eyes towards the future. The realization of turning the attention to alternative fuel sources became the clarion call of all the manufacturers and the response is said to be going in a positive trend. The understanding of the people has gone far and beyond in terms of the development of the newer technology which is more cost-effective in the long run. Many of the major automotive giants are said to have taken these steps to ensure the needs, of sustainable growth and development to enhance better living standards of the people. This has helped in terms of reducing the hazards from a potential pollution threat.

Coming to the aspects of pollution the immense push from international climate agreements to switch to cleaner energy sources, more refinement of the petroleum products have helped to contain the situation of global climate change. Though the steps taken is said to be just the start of a new direction. The development in this front is said to be in the right direction, where we can see the future running on the alternative energy sources completely i.e., electric, solar and fuel cell. All these technologies to develop takes immense levels of research, in multiple aspects- in terms of vehicles' drivable range, battery efficiency, use of alternative composite materials for construction of the components, which can be cost-saving and efficient, and the list continues. The research and development teams of the major manufacturers have been on the overall development of the new technology more affordable to the masses. The aspect of affordability is also an important consideration to be made, to make the gradual shift from ICE driven vehicles.

Many factors need to be kept in check to keep in check. The main concern for the Indian market was the feasibility of the charging stations, for the new electric vehicles. This seemed to be the talk of the country for quite some time, and it has gone in viral even in the international news broadcast as well. Since the Indian economy is said to be running with regular combustion engines and the spread of the petrol stations is very good, the need for the infrastructure for the regular and the fast chargers is needed. This being the case, some of the entrepreneurs have gone in to provide the facilities in and around the city limits, to make it feasible for the buyers to make a comfortable switch to electric vehicles. The manufacturers themselves have come into the forefront to provide the customers with the charging facilities, for the customers to overcome the range of anxiety issues. This is been made possible by manufacturers to provide the regular wall box chargers to get their vehicles charged overnight using their home power supply and fast chargers in and around the city limits in certain parts of the country. In this regard, we can see certain metropolitan cities have managed to come up with charging stations in and around cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Kochi, Indore, Bengaluru and many more would be adding to the list-making the country more of a sustainable market for more electric vehicles in the markets.

In this regard, this initiative is only possible if the governments can give in support to change in the approach of people to make a comfortable choice to owning an electric-vehicles This was made possible with the recent initiatives with the FAME II reforms which helped in bringing down the tax rates on owning the electric vehicles. Be it owning an electric car or a bike the prices have come down tremendously by 25% to 30% respectively. This has helped in giving more benefits to the buyers and the producers as well. This will aid in better sales of electric vehicles in the coming months.

On the trends of the technology front, there was a slight hiccup in the initial phase of production, especially in the production of the battery, and the related components in terms of the manufacturing front have been a challenge. The importance of a manufacturer is to bring down the manufacturing costs. Since our country is not so equipped on this front during the initial scenes of production, this was a hassle, since some of the materials were sourced from nations like China, Thailand, Indonesia, to complete the heart of the electric vehicles. This was in a way sorted by certain schemes of the government so locally produce the materials. This included the building of newer start-ups to cater to the needs of the industry. This helped the home-grown brands like Tata and Mahindra and Mahindra (M&M) to come up with their fleet of electric vehicles. This is said to be a significant milestone for the nation. Coming to terms with the change of the future wants, the technology development front is now more strengthened by more investment in the research and development sector to come up with affordable EVs and charging solutions for a better tomorrow.

For all this to become a reality the popularization of solar and wind power should be harnessed from the household level. This is seen as a proven model in certain states of the USA, where the excess power that is being generated, is given back to the grid. In a way, this can be seen as a source of income to the household and can be seen as a positive aspect and a benefit. This can be also seen with the aspect of electric vehicles seen as a power source for the homes of many. Intensifying the level of producing better battery-powered vehicles can solve the energy crisis, we have as a nation. Boosting up the power grids with the help of the solar panels from the household levels can add a source of power that could be stored and used in time of need. Policies in the land reforms, which can be reformed in terms of facilitating the barren lands for wind and solar panels provided the conditions favor them must be put in place. The tech age is catching up on the new generation population and the time has come to keep up and not to lose any potential loss to the growth prospects. This can be the future and the technology can be seen on the variations or the improvements of the same. This could benefit almost all kinds of business and can be seen as a potential source of innovations in the coming future.

The manufacturing sectors in the country is said to be one of the most diversified. Though it is said to be an important contributor to the GDP. The need of an economy is to look at catering for the needs of the people which can sustain the required level of development which can help the nation to meet the yearly goals set. This sector would help in determining the amount of development required to meet the estimated targets. Since independence, the manufacturing and the agricultural sector is said to have played an important role in terms of the development. This kept the trends pretty strong till the late 2000s but then now the scene of development started to change. With the service sector picking up and contributing a significant amount to the nation in terms of the growth trajectory of the nation, changes can be implemented. These changes can be implemented to bring in more of a sustainable growth path.

Many of the treaties signed by our nation, is more in line with what the world needs at the moment- cleaner energy and a better environment. This has helped many of the nations to comply with the norms in a stricter sense, to conserve the environment for sustainable growth and development. This means that the amount of carbon -footprint should be brought down on a massive scale, which in turn could save the planet. As of today, the Indian government has identified six key industries which could tackle the issue and now have been pushing them with ample support to get the desired results. Dedicated policies for small, medium and large-scale industries have been formulated to meet their targets. A full-fledged roadmap has been put in a position to meet by the year 2030, for which the efforts for the same have begun since 2014. There is said to be several ways to reduce the level of greenhouse gas emission byways of changing the way we produce goods. The choice of raw materials can be the start of the change. Many of the raw materials we can see that's being used is said to require a high level of temperatures to process to get the desired products. This can be changed to something more reliable, such as composite materials, which are being used in the automotive industries- such as carbon fiber, high-grade aluminum which do give in the required strength and durability to the products. This is seen in the modern-day supercars and some of the mass-produced vehicles as well. Though the initial costs may be high, over time with the help of research it can help to come with better products- which is far more sustainable. At present, the use of steel in many of the products have been substituted with aluminum giving better property in terms of the strength of the products. Some of the electrical items which we see at present have gone in for more eco-friendly based construction to keeping the environmental norms always complied. The companies like HP (Hewlett Packard), Dell and many others have pursued making the casings of their laptop lighter and durable using ocean-bound plastics. These are usually recycled and reused as modern laptop shells. This is more than an innovation that is said to keep modern technology more affordable and also enhancing the aspect of reusing and recycling prospects the waste we tend to generate daily.

This change in the trend on the reduction of renewable sources would continue to inspire the needs of many industries. Innovations would continue to thrive and patents would be growing in nations across the globe. The need to bring about a positive change in the way we reduce the dependence on the traditional sources of materials for the production of the goods we use on the daily basis. The approach to production on more of a sustainable basis is necessary to avoid catastrophic consequences in the terms of environmental degradation. A change is necessary to make life much simpler and more eco-conscious. This would help in giving the time for regeneration and recuperation of the natural resources, and save them for generations to come. A change in perspective and a change in the mentality of development can bring to the shift in the gradual shift which could do wonders for the present and the generations to come.
